Jacky connects with your Steam friends so you can poke them, gift collectibles, chat, and even send your pet to visit their desktop.
Getting Started
Enable the social features from Settings → Integrations. Once toggled on, Jacky automatically discovers which of your Steam friends are online and shows them in your Amigos context menu.
Steam must be running and you must be logged in for social features to work.
Poke
A poke is a quick "I'm here!" nudge — it's instant and fun.
Sending a Poke
- Right-click Jacky → Amigos → pick an online friend → Pokear.
- The friend's Jacky plays a happy animation and speaks a line like "👋 te dio un toque!"
Receiving a Poke
When someone pokes you:
- Jacky enters a happy state, bounces briefly, and speaks a greeting aloud.
- Pokes from the same friend are limited to one reaction per minute to avoid spam.
Collectible Gifting
Send any collectible from your collection to an online friend. The item spawns as a clickable sprite on their desktop, and when collected, it joins their collection just like any other collectible.
Sending a Gift
- Open the Collection Panel (right-click Jacky → Collection Panel).
- Click any collected item to view its details.
- Click Send to a friend and choose an online friend.
- The item is sent instantly — a floating collectible appears on their screen.
Receiving a Gift
When a friend sends you a collectible:
- A floating, bouncing sprite appears on your desktop.
- Click it to reveal the card — it shows the item name, rarity, and the original description.
- Add it to your collection, or dismiss it.
Collectibles received from friends are stored alongside your regular collection. The Received Gifts tab in the Collection Panel is for custom gifts crafted during visits — see the Visits guide for details.
Grab Acknowledgement
When you collect a gifted item, the sender gets a notification that their gift was received. Jacky may celebrate with a spoken line.
Guestbook
Jacky keeps a local log of all social interactions — who poked you, who visited, who sent messages, and when.

Viewing the Guestbook
- Right-click Jacky → Amigos → Visitantes recientes (Recent visitors).
- A panel shows recent social events sorted by time, newest first.
The guestbook is stored in ~/.jacky/social/guestbook.json.
